How to submit bulk filings
The bulk filing feature lets you submit multiple filings for multiple businesses at once for a single form using Localgov’s spreadsheet template.
Bulk filing in Localgov is available only for select forms. If a form supports it, you’ll see the option to submit for either a single business or multiple businesses when opening the form. This feature is especially helpful for business owners with multiple locations or for tax preparers managing filings for several clients.
- Log into your Localgov account.
- Navigate to the Submit Forms tab, select the filing form you are required to submit, and then choose Multiple Businesses.

- From the dropdown, select the businesses you want to include and click Add.

- Download the pre-filled template and open it in Excel.

- Complete all required fields such as Filing Period, Gross Sales, and other necessary information.

- Go to the Next page, click Select a file. Choose your completed template and then click Upload.

- If any fields are incomplete or incorrect, the system will flag those records as errors. If any errors are detected, you can edit the completed Excel template as needed and re-upload.
Tips:

- You may also proceed with submitting the filings marked in green (valid) instead of re-uploading the Excel file. This will submit all successful filing records while saving the records with errors as drafts under the Filings tab, which you can later review, correct, and resume filing.

- Select and enter your payment method to finish your bulk filing and submit your payment.

Tips:- If you do not complete the payment upfront, your bulk filings will be saved under the Filings tab with a “Payment Required” status. You can complete the payment later by either paying each filing individually or making a single payment for the whole uploaded filings.

Additional Notes:
- Your submitted bulk filings will appear as separate entries in your Filings list. A detailed breakdown of all fees, including interest and penalties, can be found within each individual filing record.
- If bulk filing isn’t available for a form but you’d like it to be, contact Localgov Customer Service to request activation.
